Anyone know the proper procedure for changing oil on the 210? From service manual? I see many people are having trouble getting most of the oil out.

Get a small electric pump or one of the hand vacuum canisters. I've used the vacuum canister for years and it does a fairly good job. You'll never get it all out unless your bale to drain it from the oil pan. And to be honest I'm not sure there is a drain on the pan?? I would assume there is?????

I have a vacuum canister. Just curious of how many spots to drain oil from. I've seen posts where people drained from top fill, the dipstick, and disconnected a hose, draining oil from all three places. I havent seen the service manual yet but that seems excessive to me for an oil change. I was planning to drain from dip stick and top fill then replace what I remove from each. Do you have to fill in each location? Some posts said yes but I've never heard of that before.

I recently did the 10 hour oil change and honestly it wasn't that hard. I'm old and out of shape and it was 100 degrees out, so it was a struggle for me. I had to get a large wrench for the oil filters since they had King Kong crank them down at the factory. Just make sure to put a rag or puppy pad under the filter when you take it off. Also make sure to run the engine a few minutes before removing the oil to make is more viscous (?).

Warm the engine to make the oil less viscous - flows faster

Hahaha. I was thinking the same thing for my oil filters..... WAAAYYYY more than 12.5 lbs torque that the manual calls for.

I’m in the process of doing the 10 hour service. Between both engines I got probably 2 qts out. That’s it. One filter is too tight, the filter wrench just slips off. I’ve got to buy another that will work better. Any suggestions?

I’m using a canister vacuum and it works great it just isn’t getting it all. Would welcome any and all advice

There is a very specific process to get the maximum amount of oil out. There are a few threads on this topic. I thought the same thing on my 1st oil change too.

I believe there is a screen down at the bottom that filters the oil do not jam your suction tube down anywhere in the motor. You can puncture the screen.

There are actually 2 places to suction oil from, there’s a dedicated tube and the dipstick tube. I ended up getting about 3 qts per engine out.

Are you referring to those hose connected to the valve cover or the one next to that terminates at the lift ring? The service manual isn’t the best.
