If I complete the 10 hour service on my engines myself does it effect the Yamaha warranty at all? I don't believe it does but wanted to get other opinions.

It does not unless they can prove that you didn't do it properly. Keep receipts and a few photos for proof if something should come up down the road.

Got it, thank you. So I guess that leads to the next obvious question, other than oil, filters, plugs and grease, is there anything else I need to worry about?

I keep a quick excel spreadsheet that lists hours, service required, dates supplies installed, etc. this serves as my service log.

One thing I've found that wasn't in my manual that helps is to put a little WD-40 on theater ring cables behind the instrument panel and also on each engine. This will make your steering much easier.

Just a point about WD-40. Its also a solvent as well as a lubricant. It may make things turn better but you could be replacing a grease that works well and for a long time with WD-40.

Good point, thanks. I'll change over to more of a grease.
