Boat Mechanic stated that the wiring harness and computer is the cause of fuel getting into the crankcase and into the oil. Has anyone had similar issues? The quote to fix the issue is $3200.00. Not willing to fork out that kind of money if there are more issues.

Sounds like a stuck injector or bad ecm. If your handy you can repair for a lot less $$

Thanks so much for the quick reply. Can you give me a little more detail about the bad ECM causing this problem? The ECM is about $1200.

Water gets in the ECU, injectors get stuck open. You can get the ECU repaired much cheaper than replacement.

Does the ECM have to be programmed?

It is less common for your model year to suffer from this problem. Did you ever have a flooded boat or flooded Engine Bay?

The computer is enclosed in a supposedly watertight box, but once water enters it stays trapped and cannot exit. If a certain drain hose is clogged or overflows there is a chance water is falling on top of the computer box causing the issue, but with our hull design it is not very common (vs the 2003-2006 model where the hatch is just right so all the water falls right on top of the ECM.)

Was it left or right engine?

You can see the hose that drains the water from the walkway to the rear of the boat, it goes near the computer, but it's still far.

Any idea where the water might have come from? Would be a good idea to open the other electrical box and drain the water if there is any in there.

And here is the hatch of the folks that normally have an issue... direct flow from hatch opening right on top of the computer:
