Looking at a 2013 SX240. Noticed the bow seems really low. Anyone have any issues with that? Waves coming over?
How do these handle riding over waves on typical inland lakes compared to a not jet of comparable size like a Chaparral 220SSI?
Anything I should look at real close on this. Only have around 100 hours.

the thing I noticed is how high the bow rides on plane, so it was obvious that it was designed with this in mind.

When on plane, the bow is nearly level and easy to see over as the captain. For riders, there is little fear of taking on a wave. From what I have experienced also is getting into the anchor locker while in the water is much easier than our previous SeaDoo as well. You will have little issue with the design.

At 24' and it's weight, it will slice waves really well. It should be comparable to most prop boats as it's hull design and not motor dependent. The indents in the boat below rub rail do cut down on spray quite a bit too. (you can see that in my signature file.

I only have one photo at speed, but the waves were not large that day. What you will see, is that your view from the captains chair is excellent.

The freeboard is actually fairly high for most inland boats, so watching for a downed skier can be a bit more of a task, but not impossible compared to boats of it's size.

Good luck!
