2016 Yamaha AR190 and AR192 Receive Very Nice New Towers

It would have to. This boat is made for new boaters, light duty tow vehicles and garage storage. I'd be very surprised if it didnt.

Personaly I love the look of the new tower set up. I have been looking all over for a photo of what the new Bimini top would look like for the 190 line and finally found a photo on Yamaha Canada's website. Which just went live today with the 2016 info. In the ar190 page they have a photo of the new top. Sadly it's nowhere near as big or deluxe as the ones found on the 24 footers.

This whole look is why I almost bought a used orange seadoo S... can wait to see if the fiberglass is exactly the same as 12-15. Can't see why it wouldn't be. It would be cheaper to pay the huge cost of a retrofit minus what I could get for my oem 14 tower, then lose money in a new boat.

I really like this and would have bought an AR190 if they looked like this earlier this year. The current AR tower costs 3200.00 at Yamahapartshouse.com. So I am not sure I can justify adding it to my SX190... but I would really like to....

From what I have been able to read on this site. (Referring to 2015 ar240s that use a very simular tower and top) Most people have no issues using the tower with top on. For boarding they say over top and surfing you can go under bimini.

Does anyone know if the new 2016 wakeboard tower would be compatible to fit on the 2015 models? I really like the forward swept design and am looking to confirm if it will fit. Thank you

@Nick Jones while the hulls on every 190 series boat ever are the same, if you were able to swap out towers, you would then have holes from the old tower to deal with. But I agree, I like the forward towers a lot.

@Williamsone46 or any other dealer have any idea how much the parts would run? Filling the existing holes seems like the smallest problem compared to the cost plus shipping for that huge one piece arch.

I'd love to get this tower on my 15 sx192 but like you said, they are too expensive. Have been looking at an aerial freeride wake board tower; however, I don't think it will mount properly. :/

Yes, it does fold in. I just purchased the AR192 shown in the picture above on July 4th weekend. Haven't folded it yet, but the boat is fantastic.
