Just bought a 2017 212 Limited S a couple days ago. Question: Has anyone lengthened their retention cables for their tower? The stock cable length won't let the tower drop down level with the windshield.

Yes, others have extended their cables. Not sure if they've done it on your model though.

I have the same boat and asked the dealer to extend the cables. Turns out, they just unhooked them which still works great. I use a pole that fits into the front bimini slot on the tower and a perfectly sized cardboard box on the seat to support it when down. The boat fits with room to spare in my 8' garage.
