My first plan was to install my 2nd auto bilge down in the hull then use a SeaSense Y adapter with check valves to join it up with my OEM bilge. Unfortunately the Y adapter only had 1 1/8" end on the line going out. So I would have to remove current bilge line and install a bigger thru hull plug. Decided this also added a point of failure with the Y valve possibly getting the check valve stuck and pumping back into the boat. So I just ordered a 2nd thru hull plug and will have 2 bilge lines. Once I get that part in should have some photos of the install after this weekend.

That sounds like the best method. The other thing you could do is introduce heat to the end of the hose with a heat gun or hair dryer. I will soften the end just enough to make it malleable and fit over the end of the "Y".
