I do not believe that you could recover this boat with a bow mounted trolling motor. But I have often thought about a stern mounted trolling motor as a stern thruster. Something like this mounted out of the way under the swim deck would allow for one person launching and recovery without being in the boat.

@Bruce Why don't you think you could recover this boat with a bow mounted trolling motor?

These trim tab motors are popular down here. You'll just need to figure out the remote control portion.

It would hit the bunks or cross members on the trailer.

I get the motivation, but you still have to control it and dock it (if a dock is available). I am betting I can launch my boat as fast as someone can do it radio controlled...if they had the ability to do so. However, our boats are just too big and heavy to control with a small trolling motor. Thrust is your friend! I couldn't get the first link to play or open btw. Now that second link is interesting...but remember guys, NO PROPS!

How cool does he look when he eventually forgets to make sure his battery isn't dead? Fun stuff, though.

The link finally worked for me...Can you imagine doing that in the wind?!
