Alum Creek State Park, Ohio

I see a lot of boats on Alum Creek in Delaware county, OH. Curious as to how many people here are out on the water, I see lots of our boats out on the water and am wondering if I will quickly run out of footballs once Mel's back from vacation...

This weekend is looking fantastic!! Will be on the water probably both days this weekend. Shout out if you are out there, would love to hear from other buckeyes -- specially since they're on bye this weekend.

Hey @mark_m and @serg of energy, I'll keep my eyes out for you guys this Spring on Alum Creek. We got our boat last July and boat at Alum a lot, along with a buddy of mine.

@David D welcome! I bought our boat at the end of the season last year too. Alum creek is home water for us, will be on the lookout for you. I haven't picked up the boat from my in laws (winter storage) yet, can't wait to get out there!

Thanks. We are so eager to get our boat out. I heard today that the ramps at Alum are going in later this year (end of April) due to the high water. I'm thinking about getting mine home in the next week to start my LED light priject. See you on the water!

Made a trip out to Alum Creek today. A little chilly this morning but it warmed up a little in the afternoon. Ran into a fellow Yamaha owner with his 230.

@lddv1224 pulled the boat up 23 from Portsmouth last weekend. I'm hoping to get out there on alum soon. Was the 230 black? Might have been @Coastal44. He was texting me about going out. We took our first trip out on the Ohio river down south at my in laws.

@mark_m no it was a red and white 230, I believe his name was Jerry(I'm bad with remembering names) Real nice guy shared some good info with this rookie Jetboater. I was out with my father in law and my youngest son. I used to go out boating on the Ohio river with my parents when I was a kid. I want to get a full season under my belt before going out on the Ohio river.

Was he a former cop? He helped me on my first outing there last year - no thrust vectors and having a fun "challenge" getting to the dock smoothly when I sucked up a rope. He was very helpful. Don't recall his name.

Yes, @Impelled is a fairly recently retired LEO that has been active on this forum and YJB for years.

@mark_m Based on the 10 day forecast, today is going to be the only day without rain. Go for it!!! If i hadn't just gotten back from Cave Run Lake, I'd probably be out there.

@lddv1224 how was cave run? We were originally going to drive down there Friday and boat all weekend!

@mark_m Cave Run is a beautiful lake. If you go down, I recommend that you use the boat ramp at Scotts Marina off of KY 801S You will need to purchase a Daniel Boone Parking Pass from the bait shop right across from the boat ramp.
