Hello. New to this forum. Just wondering if anybody has tried a performance chip and were the gains as advertised?
I have been looking at a Magnum Smart Tuning system and would like some feed back.

@SamCF has done a lot of work on a 192 - see his thread on 192 performance mods!
I don't know if anyone used this specific system though?

The tuner you are looking at is a really bad idea. It looks like it hijacks the sensor outputs from the Intake Air Temp to make the ecu think it's running in cool air. This would remove safeguards built into the ECU to protect your engine. It may do more, but I doubt you can find a single review of it being used on a Yamaha boat or Waverunner.

There are several options for tuning these boats. I won't go into detail, there are already many threads on this and other forums on this topic.

1. Maptuner X: https://www.4-tecperformance.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=180&products_id=4250

2. R&D: https://www.4-tecperformance.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_82_152&products_id=1623

3. Dean's Tune: https://deansteam.com/ It's best to call the shop and tell them what you want. They currently do not support cruise assist or no wake mode in their tune. This is going to be the fastest and cheapest tune, but they are still working on getting everything operational.

Thanks for the info. Do you know what kind of gains people are getting with these tuners?

My top speed was 59.75 mph with upgraded intercooler, Dean's Tune, and ET Low Boost supercharger wheel. It runs a solid 57 mph all day with a normal load and hot engine. Go to Greenhulk.com and start reading. Everything you need to know is there.
