So I have had the summer of hell and will explain in another post. We decided to sell our 2002 SeaDoo Utopia 185 and purchased a 2015 Yamaha 24 LS. I posted Buyer Remorse.

So the trailer that came with the boat was for freshwater so the dealer purchased a Venture Commander (aluminum) with plastic bunks. Two weeks ago my boat came back from the repair shop (hull damage) with a beautiful buffed and waxed boat, not a scratch in it. The next day we took the boat out and again had issues loading the boat back on the trailer (45 minutes). UGH

The next morning (saturday) my nephew noticed fine scratches and slight damage to the gel coat. It was definitely caused by the bunks. I was so angry that at that moment I was ready to sell.

On Monday my wife (level headed) called the dealer to explain the situation. Geoff from G&R Marine (South Windsor, CT) was fantastic. He understood the situation and explained that he will do anything he can to fix the issues. The next morning Geoff came and picked up the boat and took it back to the shop. He was going to replace the plastic bunks with marine grade carpet, adjust the trailer bunks and in the fall repair, buff and wax the hull. In two days the boat was back and I was extremely satisfied. Geoff never complained and try and put the blame on us. Very accommodating.

Because of the weather here in CT we have yet to try and see if the carpet and adjustment of the trailer bunks worked. The dealer tried it and said that the boat sat perfectly. We will see.

All I can say is if you are looking for a dealer that stands by their customers Geoff at G&R Marine is your guy.

Sorry about your issues, but that's awesome to find a dealer that cares that much about you after the sale.

Fantastic! Glad they took care of you. The only other boat I've had was 40 years ago. It had a Magic Tilt trailer with rollers. I liked it even though it involved a lot of cranking. We could even set the boat in the yard to do maintenance on the trailer.

Awesome to get good dealer reviews!
