Hey all. So I am thinking about how to add two sleeves on the top of my binimi. One to hold a surfboard and the other to hold a kneeboard. That way I can have additional surfboards and wakeboards on the tower racks.

Basically wondering if anyone else has done anything like this and how much it cost you. I found some pictures online that guys did. Just a U-shaped pouch to slide the boards in upside down/fins up.

I have seen such things, but don't know anyone who did it themselves. I would think any decent canvas shop could do it for you.

Our local canvas expert would probably be @zipper. But I can't imagine that it would be all that hard, especially with the right sewing machine and needle.

I am far from an "expert" but thanks. My wife is the sewist in the family, I only help when asked, lol. Take your idea to a canvas shop, it can be done. They will have the right materials, ie. Sunbrella or Shur-last canvas. I think the Yamaha bimini's are Shurlast fabric, well my mooring cover and bimini were. We replaced them with Sunbrella. The shop will also have machines that will punch thru 4-5 layers of fabric as well as UV Tenara PTFE lifetime thread. Try to find somebody now and don't wait a month. They only get busier as Spring approaches.

It is also nice to have zipper plaques sewn onto the bimini, well it was on our Sunbrella one. Allowed us to hang shade curtains on both sides.
