Hey guys, I have searched the forums and the Google Machine and can't seem to find how to properly install the port side cargo net. When place it on the four hooks it just seems really loose to me. Is this correct? When we take the cover of fo of the boat this evening I will take some pictures. Any insite would be greatly appreciated.

That is correct. It's designed to hold a trash can. Oncethe trash can is in place you hook the net wherever you can to make it tight. We don't use the end hook holes on the net. We hook it further in on the net.

In the meantime (while you don't have a trash can or are not using the space for trash) maybe you can fold the net over itself to create a pocket of sorts between the layers as well as make it tighter.

I wish I had this problem (with a new boat). On the older 242s like mine the net is pre and permanently installed and the area isn't big enough to accommodate much trash.

Took a few pics of the cargo net trash can area.
