Looks like an easy enough job with a razor blade or seven. What is that, netting?

I built a special 20 inch knife for removing those types of things via the intake grate 20 inch long knife made from heavy duty barbacue thongs.JPG

Might be faster and easier to just pull the pump and slide that whole mess right off the shaft without cutting any of it.

Alright.... after 2 hours and a badly cut finger I managed to get the net clear with the exception of the crap that’s wrapped up beyond the shaft. Any tips on getting it free? Will this come free during normal operation?

If it were mine I think I would pull the pump right out just to avoid any seal damage

Any fish brains stuck in there with that Trout line?
