Check engine light

So we have about 4 hours on our boat this weekend. And I noticed that the check engine light would flash when I turned the key to the run position before starting one time it was once the next time it was 3 flashes but the boat never skipped a beat ran great. And the light never came on when running it. Any ideas? Also I will say it’s a lot of fun driving reversing is another story lol. Gonna need a lot of practice to get that right.

Check engine still flash when you start the boat? Ever figure out what caused it?

The engine light stil flashes 3 times every time I start the engine. I talked with my dealer and he told me not to worry about it flashing. Other than that the boat runs great we have about 8 hours on it so far and I have no complaints.

I have the exact same thing going on with mine. Turn the key and it flashes check engine. Once the boat is started, check engine light goes away. The boat runs, sounds, and drives flawless. I have about 10 hours on it now. Check engine never throws any codes but flashes upon start up. I don’t get it

Thats funny because two dealers said that they've never heard of it before. I'm sure it's a known problem. Mine isn't affected either...

You can check your engine codes in the setup section of the dash if they aren’t there when you check I was told by a Long Island dealer st the NYC boat show it was because Glastron doesn’t use the BRP gauges and it is slow to react with the CAN system

That makes since. You actually may have answered two of my questions? Do you know anything about replacing the gauges. It seems like if what you said is accurate than you could essentially replace the Glastron gauges with BRP and keep the same functionality.

I’m not sure of the stock wiring from ECU to the dash is equivalent but I’m sure it can be done just have to know what parts would be needed
