Cobra Ultimate Sealant Purpose?

@Cobra Jet Steering LLC I just installed the Cobra Ultimate's on my 2014 SX190 and the process was very straight forward. No luck getting out this weekend due to the rain. However, one step would have prevented me from taking it out right away anyways, the sealant step on the side force stabilizer. I was just curious what purpose this sealant served?

It is very clear in the youtube video (@~4 min) that you want that sealant there, but in the PDF it isn't included.

My guess is the sealant is a bit of a belt and suspenders approach to stabilize the stabilizer if the nut were to back out a bit, but I wanted to make sure.

That is purely optional.
There are a lot of different types of people and some have a difficult time understanding the part floats slightly.
The entire nozzle from the factory actually floats and this requires the side force stabilizer to float where it attaches at the pivot point.
If someone insists on it being attached to the nozzle tightly this is the way to do it. Functionally it makes no difference.
