I just finished of course it took a lot longer than I thought it would but I'm happy with the results and I learned a few things that should make refurbishing the boat's trailer a little easier.

What I was working on:
2006 FX Cruiser HO Yamaha WaveRunner (the black one)
2006 FX Cruiser YamahaRunner
2006 MFI (Metal Fabrication Inc.) single axle trailer (previously galvanized)

Here is the run down:
PWCs:
-replaced a bow trim piece I lost last year on the black ski
-upgraded the bilge pumps in both skis so that I can turn them on and off manually
-changed the oil and greased the main bearing in both skis
-bought new trailering covers
-iPhones in life proof floating cases for each ski running navionics (I have my phone, camera, tunes, access to the web and nav unit all in one device, love it, especially with all the apps (weather, decibel meter, etc.).

Previous Upgrades:
-R&D Air Filters and Velocity Stacks
-GoPro and Ram Mounts (and a gopro for each ski)
-Aftermarket impeller in HO

Trailer:
-spray painted entire trailer with mostly truck bed liner paint plus undercoating and a little high gloss stuff
-hydro turfed the tongue, storage box cover and front step
-added small turf at select locations around the trailer
-replaced all electrical wiring, covered new wiring
-replaced worn grommets
-installed modified wheel covers
-installed new reflectors
-replaced safety chains with custom sized ones that have locking "S" hooks
-topped off the bearing buddies

Previous Upgrades:
-Fulton F2 winches (1,600 lbs. cap. I think)
-Fulton F2 dual wheel jack with brake
-boat buckles
-LED lights
-spare tire and mount

All in time to hit the water this weekend.

If time permits I'm going to make a couple of what I call "Poor Man's Cruise Assist Modules" that Jeff W. of Cobra Fins shared here recently.

Before I forget, if you don't already have clean out the bilge pump screen (every 3 or so years) on your maintenance list I highly recommend that you put it on there. Most likely Yamaha uses the same type of automatic (resistance sensing) pump in all its boats and waverrunners. If the screen not enough water will be able to get through to the pump's impeller so the pump won't stay on (no resistance) but it will sound like it's doing its job. I thought my pump was broken, it turned out to be just clogged, still I'm glad to have more control over the pump and will probably do this boat next year.

I'll add pics in the morning. After reviewing the list above I suddenly feel very tired.

Post up some pics, sounds like a day in my life working on the toys and trailers.
Yeah I wish is was more than a day (actually about a week) per year. This is my "alone / quiet time".
