I can't believe I stayed up for this. What a waste of time. I get the idea of swinging for the fences, but WOW this was a Casey Jones level swing and a miss.

It looks horrid. Seriously Elon, my 8yr old is more creative than this!

Towing specs of 14k. Really? Not on those tires, not with those blind spots.

Stainless steel exterior? Bulletproof glass? I'll take features nobody asked for, ever, for $1,000 Alex The hammer to a door test was very reminiscent of a Saturn commercial from the '90's. The glass demo was a complete failure on a feature that is completely superflous.

Where's the interior? Perhaps as equally prepared as the windows?

Whole thing looks like they ran out of time, throw some sheet metal togethor, and turned it in at the last second. I mean I did some projects like that as I was going through high school as well.

His statement at the beginning was completely correct. Sustainable transportation HAS to include a pickup. I'm guessing he did ZERO market research on this one, because getting an F150 owner to trade their keys for that is going to be a DAMN hard sell. Especially any construction worker, farmer, or anyone else that actually cares about functionality of a pickup. Might sell a couple to some people that want to make a statement, but he's not even close to the core demographic here.

I'm not a Tesla hater, I'm really not. I think they're neat vehicles, and most likely the technology the future needs. They've done more for EV's in 7yrs or so than any other automaker. This cybertruk is a complete fail IMO.

If you ignore the aesthetics, it sounds like an amazing vehicle, especially for the money. But god damn is it ugly as sin.

After thinking about it a while, Elon has created the EV version of a Honda Ridgeline. A pickup for city/suburb types that don’t rely on their truck as a tool, but occasionally haul a bag or two of mulch and put their mountain bikes in it. Obviously this is a unibody design, with an IRS. Tongue weight of over 1000 lbs at the stated towing capacity, if the rear wheel is cambered that bad empty imagine a big boy trailer on there? Air suspension is the obvious answer, but again I can’t help but imagine a unibody vehicle without a full length frame isn’t going to handle the loads. If it were capable, we’d see unibody full size trucks and semis by now.

It can't possibly look like that...it's a concept at best. No side mirrors, the windows don't appear to roll down, no way there's an airbag in that steering wheel, and the lighting is all illegal. There's also no way it would pass a crash test.

I’m a Tesla supporter through and through and thought the truck would be my first EV... I just can’t get there with this one. I will say, I like it better than I did initially, but not even close to liking it enough to think it’ll be in my driveway one day. Quite disappointed. I give him ALL the credit in the world for doing something no one has done before. I think everyone thought he would build a Ridgeline... He went so far in the opposite direction but I just can’t get there.

I’m the opposite! I don’t give a flying thing about Tesla. Just Love that truck.

It’s interesting how these Tesla guys don’t follow any trends, they make them. Somehow they figure we will all look at cars/trucks very differently few years down the road and they go strait there.
But the function over form gets to me here. It’s amazing in its simplicity. To me.

EDIT: The real question here is: why can’t they make a f@cking surf boat that would also cruise, quietly???? Lolol.
