Just took delivery of a 223 VRX. I need help setting the depth finder warning, what's the shallowest water level people have experienced.? Thanks GB

I've been in shallow lakes and bays but I set my depth at 5 feet with a prop drive. With a jet drive I think I'd still keep it about 4 feet because the jet sucks in water from under the boat hull near the transom and you don't want to be near a sandbar and suck that up into the impeller and raw water cooling for the exhaust. The shallow draft just means the hull is not too deep in the water, but you still have to remember the water intake is down there too.
