Good afternoon, I have my boat in a slip on a river that currently has a large amount of debris. I cleaned out the ports but the alarm still went off and the engine was rumbling without being able to gain any speed. I cleaned out the ports again, put in reverse and tried to speed up about 5-6 times. I didn't want to damage the engines. Any advice on debris in a an engine with clean ports?

Thank you!

Probably have something stuck between the edge of one of your props and the tunnel. Remove clean out ports and feel along the edge of each prop to tell if something is wedged.

If you cannot feel anything down in the cleanout ports, there may be some loose debris between the nozzle and the impeller housing. That area is hard to get to without the boat elevated. If you can get to it, a coat hanger wire might help dislodge the stuff.

More than likely will need to pull the boat to look up into the jet pump. Unfortunately it doesn't take much to cause an issue.

What alarm are you getting? As there is no alarm for debris in your pump. The alarm would be cavitation experienced. Or are you talking about an overheat alarm? If that is the case, clean out the intake to the cooling system (which happens to be in that area)
