Engine squeal?

Just bought a Scarab 195 with a 200hp Rotax with supercharger. The engine has a squeal to it which I think is the supercharger. Is this a normal thing? The dealer I bought it from said that they did rebuild the supercharger, Changed the plugs and oil. 196 hours.

I think one of my engines has this as well. Wondering if air filter change could correct this?

Is it right to ask your engine to squeal like a piggy? No, engines and engine components don't squeel. I believe Scarab had a problem using ceramic spacers in their superchargers. There are several Scarab owners on this site who will know more than me about this.

Its more like a high pitch whine, sounds like from the air intake

I think its air intake or supercharger. Its more of a whine. I took a ride in my friends sea doo challenger and he has a similar noise. Looks lime its a normal thing.
