It would be cool if some of us on the West Coast especially those close to the Bay Area could get together at this event. Here is a link to one of the pages regarding the event.

http://www.fleetweek.us/page_schedule_events.html

I plan to be there and will probably launch out San Leandro Marina (with Alameda and Oakland being alternative launch points), weather permitting.

It's a crap shoot in that if the weather is bad (too foggy) the Angels don't fly. Most of the time they don't know until the morning of the event but the Angels aren't supposed to fly until the late afternoon after the fog usually burns off.

I'm interested in seeing the responsive comments on this. Keep in mind it is salt (technically brackish but mostly salt) water and it is not water people generally swim in or lounge on a tube on.

Next, I'll check RedBull's fleutag (sp?) / human powered flight schedule, if they plan to have it at McCovey Cove (Home of the SF Giants) again, I'll let you all know and try and plan a trip to it.

Will anyone be out on the water tomorrow (Sunday) for Blue Angels and general air show activities? I'm going to be on the 5oo foot TS Golden Bear watching the air show all day. I think we'll be anchored out around Angel Island. I'll be on the lookout for any Yamahas. There were a crazy number of vessels on the water as we were traversing by ferry from Vallejo.
