Almost all the newer boats that have a tower, can be folded down. This includes brands other than Yamaha. I know there has to be some engineers out there that may have found or could find a method to allow those of us whole have AR 240's and 230"s to be able to lower the tower. If someone was able to put a kit together, I sure there would be many buyers. Has anyone been successful in doing this? Did I miss a thread already addressing the subject?

you need to have someone who can weld the tower, if you make it similar to the 212x design it works for the 230's, not sure about the 240's though?

It would pivot on the front leg and you would basically make the rear leg removeable up to the first cross brace....

the hard part is finding someone who can weld the tower w/o making it look like a pile of sh*t
