This looks interesting! Anyone else seen this?

Supposedly provides better fuel efficiency, better control, better performance, etc, etc..
Bryant Boats will be the first to mount it to their Bryant 233x - their water sports edition.

I guess with the props so far forward, and the extended swim platform - I/O's can become surf boats.

I like it!

@Murf'n'surf works on a boat with four bigger versions of those!

I like em. Of course it's not for every application - but really cool nonetheless .
It makes sense for I/O's looking to get into a surfable package. But trimming up will only drive the prop a little deeper, which in shallows is not desirable.

I saw this on Instagram earlier today, after seeing that picture you posted @octavio3311 . I wonder if that would draft a lot more than an inboard or v drive.

It would look super weird when trailering down the highway though!

@RiverRat - that is awesome.

With its trim up/down capabilities - an I/O can generate a very decent wake without the need for ballast.
I can see a premium builder like Cobalt, Bryant, Chapparal building a surf specific boat and steal some sales from the wakeboat market.

They've had this technology in the pods for years, but it really looks odd hanging off the back of an I\o.

They are similar @Bruce. Mine don't trim up, they only rotate.

And you should see the 3' wall the boys surf on behind the big boat! When you get a 75' boat chugging in the hole you get a California style wave !

interesting.

I was really thinking the same thing, the pic looks like stainless props, if you hit something direct with that I would say it won't turn out good for the lower unit, or at the least the main shaft.
