Fuel Type Requirement

I run 85 pretty much across the board hear in Utah.
Right on! I’m pretty sure I could do the same here but I mix 85 & 91 to get the manual’s recommended 86 as I occasionally drop down in altitude and on those 28° mornings the air is a lot denser.

Do you know where Koosharem is? I was riding up there once in the mountains and dropped down to top off in Koosharem (7000’ above msl) and the choices at the gas station were 85 & Diesel lol! I had a half tank of 91 non ethanol in the tank and added the 85 to top it off and my bike ran better and the fan quite coming on as much.

Doesn't surprise me a bit. Please don't tell anyone about Koosharem. Tell them there are wolves, everything is on fire from climate change, mormons will constantly bother you, and that all the public lands have been sold by Mike Lee. Tell them the water is all contaminated, the deer and elk herds are dying, and that any trees remaining have been logged.

It IS a veritable post apocalyptic wasteland…. Everyone should stay far away from there…

Why are you not just running 93 in a +$100,000 boat?
and I have three SVHO jet skid that I have been running 90 in with no issues or power loss at all. When you are filling up three skis, 3 - 4 times per weekend and a boat 1 to 1/12 times, the fuel cost is pretty high. So, if it's not necessary and I can cut my weekend fuel bill by 200 plus bucks, it makes sense to me.
