Does anyone know if it’s possible to install a dimmer on the lighted factory gauges? Driving at night in the pitch black the reflection on the windshield can be dangerous & impairs my ability to see across the dark water. Usually I cover the gauges with a towel but it would be nice to be able to dim it like...every vehicle ever made...

Yes! It is possible.

Now, how you would do it and so forth, I have no idea. I think it would require cracking into each tachometer to rewire the LED. If the tach is like on my boat (and likely it is in this respect), there is a single connector coming from it that is on a bus system (basically, each of the units on the bus--the engine controller, each tach, etc.) is a mini computer that runs in dependently and collects/sends data on the bus to the others. So I can tell you it is very likely not as simple as just putting a rheostat on a wire coming out of the tach.

Anyone else try this?

I have to cover the connext screen at night...as that thing is like a beacon!
