did anyone get a custom mooring one piece cover for a 252 and if so how do you like it

Are you referring to the black Yamaha one piece mooring cover? If so, I got one and love it but my only comparison is to the shipping cover and I hated dragging that heavy thing over my boat. First thing I did with the mooring cover was to treat it with 303 Marine Fabric Guard, which I'll repeat once a year or so. I'm hoping that regular treatments with 303 combined with the fact that my boat stays under a roof (but open on the sides) means I get several good years out of the cover.

Still waiting on mine....

I am referring to a two piece cover with snaps that cover the bow and stern . Instead of getting a two piece i was
thinking of getting a one piece made with snaps ..

My mooring cover is now a year old, was untreated, and still sheds water like a boss. Solid covers for sure!

treating fabric is a pain. I boat a bottle of the fabric guard, says you have to clean the cover (mine is dirty as heck), let it dry, spray it (I assume off the boat so as to not spray that crap all over). and let it cure for 12-24 hours without dew? I don't have a lot of space, I would have to spray the cover in the backyard and let it dry.

as for the cover, I should get the yamaha cover and get rid of this shipping cover. I still have the shipping cover and it works, but it sucks.

Since mine was brand new I got to skip the cleaning step this time, which made the process much easier and faster. I just took it out of the box and laid it out flat in the driveway. Took me about 15 minutes to spray it all down. It was dry to the touch in no time, but I left it there the rest of the day to cure and then put it on the boat that evening.
