you don't need a lot of expensive stuff to have fun,
a cheap board and holding the rope can be fun,

going ropeless is as much about technique as it is about the wave or the board,

A good board, some ballast and a wave shaper does make it MORE fun,

take your time and enjoy the journey, maybe there is a member close by that can show the ropes and save you a lot of learning,
