Hanging out on Lake Erie!

Finally got a full day of boating in on Memorial Day with the young ones! The cooling towers is Fermi 2 Nuclear Power Plant.

You're lucky you're on lake erie this year. I am on lake ontario and it is a mess with this stupid flooding. The locals blame a joint venture between the US and Canada over some wet land in Canada. They purposely rose the water of the lake by 3-4 feet (yeah, lake ontario) thereby causing destruction along the shoreline, lots of docks underwater, etc.

Whatever caused it, it sucks.

I heard the US side of Niagra Falls has a large section dammed off to allow work. I believe this is adding to the high water levels. Lake Erie and Lake St.Clair are both the highest I have seen in many years.

Looks like an awesome day out, I was just at White Sands Beach - Boblo Island yesterday!

That sucks! I was born and raised in Miami, Fl so I know what you mean. I still have a place there.

Hi Tarance, I'm new to jet boating & looking at buying an AR210 just like yours. I'm in Columbus & would love to take the kids to lake Erie a couple of times a year to fish & go to Put-In-Bay. Would probably launch out of Port Clinton, which I think is close to where you are. What do you think of the 210 for this? Any issues getting to the islands on a good day? Also, any ideas of what ramp/parking/docking fees I should expect?

The 210 has been great to me so far. I haven't made a run to the bay though so I can't say how that would be. I'm in Monroe just north of Toledo. I am not sure what the fees are in Ohio for things. I live in Michigan so I just pay a recreational fee when I renew my vehicle plates yearly which is 11 bucks. That gets me into all of the state parks and can use their docks to launch. I store my boat at my employers coal burner power plant.
