I am thinking about trying to build my own dock and wondering if anyone has done it before. I keep looking online to buy one but I can not find anything I like.

So therefore I am debating building one.

How hard is it to weld Aluminum if I were to rent the right equiptment?

Does anyone have any blueprints?

We've had members build floating docks from scratch, and floating docks from kits, and one member used to have a dock build and install business (would have to look up who that was). I don't recall anyone building an aluminum dock from scratch....

I have wood docks now and they are way to heavy to move around and it keeps getting harder to get people together to help. That's why I am thinking about building 6 to 8 4x8 sections that 2 guys can move around.
