Welcome @Riviera I have seen your boat(s) on the WoodenBoat Forum and boat design.net. I see you are building them commercially and selling them. How many have you sold? How did the swap from Yamaha jet ski engine to a marinized Subaru engine go?
One question...how do you retrieve the boat with the trailer with no bow eye? Are you using the cleat on the foredeck??

Yes, I'm a home (garage) boat builder. All that is written above is true. It started as an old dream and turns into something unclear for me at the moment. About two years ago I began to build two boats at once in order to sell one and leave the second to myself to return the cost of the first. So that was an idea. But I sold two boats.. and received orders for three more. I had to hire some people in order to handle this.
Friends advised to advertise boats on sites in Europe to find out how interesting it would be to someone else. So I posted a couple of announcements.
We went a long way with the engines. Until this time we install used jet ski engines (Yamaha, Rotax) because of the lower price. The boat rides very smooth, very stable and (of course) headturner on the water. But I don't like maneuverability at low speed. We need more powerful jet drive and other engine. That's why we work with marinization of Subaru Boxter engine and installation of Alamarine 180 jet drive. It will be a much more reliable but still inexpensive solution.
The next three boats will be on the water in spring, one with a Rotax 1503 (255hp) engine, the second with a Rotax 1630 (300 hp), and the third with a Yamaha (180hp). For one more engine has not yet been purchased. All boats are slightly different in finish.

I have a small woodworking business. I had to hire for part-time job a naval architect and some wood workers. Nowadays they work full time.
Besides, I work with a lot of contractors. They help a lot. Also I have friends in boat building companies.
Usually I boat with the fishing rod on the lakes. But I always wanted to steer a runabout with the good scotch (sorry) whiskey.

We do not have ready boats for sale right now. Concerning shipping to the US: we have not studied this question yet. Basically I can not see any barriers. Obviously we need a lawyer - could you suggest someone? In Europe customers have very short trip to us, its fast and cheap.
If we want to sale boats in the US, we need to deliver the boat for testing first. So we will see.
