I have a 2018 AR 195, pulled the boat out of the water to pull the jet unit to grease the bearing , and now the boat won’t start. It’s in neutral , lanyard on, clean out hatch kill switch firmly pressed with a coin, checked the battery , master battery on.. still nothing. Please help, have family coming tomorrow morning to go out on the boat

No Error Code? What happens when you attempt to start.

Is your voltage good?

Thought it was the battery but I tried a brand new battery. And tested it.
Does pulling the impeller and shaft do anything that would cause this ?

Dbl check neutral, re-insert kill lanyard.
Battery switch leads can become corroded…cycle it multiple times.
Context screen turn on?
Battery Fuse?

I mean if the engine wont even crank that sounds like its not in neutral.

That’s what I thought, or the kill switch on the clean out port hatch , both are double checked

Any corrosion on the battery terminals?

Next step. See if your starter solenoid is clicking when the key is turned. If no clicking can be heard your solenoid might not be working.

Brand new battery hooked up now , no clicking. Boat was working the day before I pulled the jet unit and impeller. Not making sense

Sometimes life doesn't make sense. :( So no clicking from the solenoid? If so that is most likely your issue.

@HangOutdoors I know you always have good insight. What do you think?

it was the solenoid wouldn’t the dash screen at least come on for a second or two ?

@Shans Don't panic yet:)
Any time you have an abrupt change in performance like this it is usually an easy fix. Finding the issue is the challenge. I would start with battery connections being revisited.

I am not familiar with your model but verify you have all wires securely clamped on the posts.

Double checked neutral , kill switch on clean out port , lanyard , battery connections.. does not make any sense at all.

the only work I did was take off the jet unit and impeller shaft, greased the bearings , and inspected the impeller, and re-installed.

Your battery is connected correctly, the switch is on, and the battery has charge and the screen won’t turn on?

Removing the pump will not affect the starting system in any way. Does the radio come on when you turn the key?
