Hello JetBoaters,

I am new to this forum but have been reading posts for about a year. I and the family are looking for a boat for some time, I've finally narrowed it down to a SX210 (used)...new is out of my price range at this point. We have a smaller lake but I'm not willing to go to a 18 or 19'. Anyhow, I've found a possible 2007 SX210 in Pinckneyville but that is 8 hours away. I'm willing to make the trip to purchase, but I saw on here that jetboaters are all over the world...I thought I would reach out to see if anyone may be in the area of Pinkneyville, IL. and may be willing to do a first hand evaluation for me (no strings attached, just looking for an honest first hand opinion of the boat). I understand the issues that the boat has for being 11 years old, but those things I can't see close up would be invaluable.

If you'd be willing, please drop me a reply directly at moreyrd@gmail.com.

Thanks and have a great next ride,

Bob Morey

We love our our 210. We are not out to set speed records. We mostly spend our time anchored. Last weekend I had 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) on the boat and we were wot at 38 mph per the Speedo. It has plenty of room. We tow tubes , and wakeboard. For us it's perfect. Sometimes I wish I had more speed, then I remind myself that we rarely go over 35

We love our SX210, it is an all around fit. We have pulled just about everything you could find behind it with no issues. The lack of a tower does affect the quality of using a wake board, but we normally ski, tube, and knee board. I agree with djetok on the speed. Two adults w/o bimini top deployed you can get about 45 mph with decent water conditions on a good day. When traveling any amount of distance, 30 mph is the perfect speed for us. Are there times when I wish I had more top speed, the answer would be yes, but then I remember that other folks riding in the boat (especially the wife) do not have the same thoughts. For the price the SX210 is hard to beat. After this summer, the wife and I have decided to sell our 210 and purchase a 240. We looked at one this summer and love the extra room the 24 ft provides $$$. However, if we end up keeping ours I will remain happy with the purchase. I do not know where you are located or if you are considering a used boat, but mine is listed in the classifieds. Good luck!

I am nowhere near IL; but if you share any photos or specs we can take a look and comment on anything noteworthy.
