For any of you that have put off changing out the scupper here is another reason why you should go for it. I have a 06 AR230 and this is the first time since I bought it in 2010 that I took off the Clean out hatch tray. When looking inside the hull to check out how bad the task at hand was going to be all I noticed was all the hose clamps I had laying on the Hull. I had a total of 10 broken clamps, most of which were just lying on the bottom but some still hanging on the lines. Most of the lines were double clamped so I still had one holding it on but 4 of them were broke and there was no clamp at all holding the hoses on. I guess this is why I have so much water come out when I pull the drain plug when I pull the boat out.
When I went to check out the ones that looked like they were still clamped tight most of them just broke when I tried to tighten. Got them all replaced now and the scupper swapped out.

While not as severe I also discovered some broken hose clamps when changing my scupper. I changed every clamp that I touched.

I'm guessing that the previous owner must have had it in salt.I bought it in 2010. I've only had it in salt once and that was a month ago and only for two days.

I found broken and rusted hose clamps a few years ago too. I then switched out all of my hose clamps with new SS Clamps. I find myself looking down there a lot more often since. So far so good.
