Stumped. I just added a second battery to my 2017 AR210. I bought the Yamaha kit SBT-DUALB-AT-08. Comes with all hardware and instructions. Easy enough to install, but.......

When the battery switch is OFF, all the electronics still work. I have the 12v accessory wires and the engine starter wires going to the 'common' post. I double checked everything but the power never truly shuts off when the switch is in the OFF position.

What gives? Bad switch?

Picture is worth 1000 words.
Be sure the battery and power wires aren't all on same post.
Also, is "common" meant to be ground on your switch?
Is this the big red switch?
On my boat i have dual battery but it is just a battery selector.
I made a common ground rail for everything about 8" from the switch.

Thanks. It's a small switch made by BEP, model 701s. The wiring was too crowded and I actually had a battery wire touching one of the accessory wires. I rerouted everything and now it's working fine. Thanks.
