One of the folks that work for me in Ohio has family in SC. He said the hurricane went right over their house. Naturally they had evacuated.

His Mom and Sister went 160 miles inland and they were fine.

His brother was already at his house in Ohio visiting prior to the hurricane. So he simply extended his stay.

He said (jokingly of course) "I love my Brother, but after 3 weeks with him in my house I'M starting to feel like a Hurricane Victim!"

Everyone is O.K. and it doesn't sound like their homes were damaged. The problem for them now is that they can't get back at the moment due to the chaos in the surrounding areas.

I registered as a volunteer with a couple of organizations yesterday. All wanted my money or for me to donate my equipment but none wanted me without having gone through their training and being vetted. I understand their concerns. That said I am a former sapper with advanced climbing gear, a 4wd truck, generator, lots of tools, and lots of tree feeling/clearing experience. They would all be happy to have me for the future provided I do what they want previous to that. More than anything they all want monetary donations.

If someone knows of an reputable non-profit organization that wants someone with my skillset now, please do let me know.
