JL Audio shortage?

is anyone else waiting on JL audio speakers from their shop due to a shortage? This what my shop tells me. Just like the boats I put some money down and now im waiting. Been a month. thanks to covid.

I went to order a pair of JL MX 6.5 speakers in June/July and they were out of stock everyone. Finally found a place that said they had them in stock, ordered them, and then a week later they sent an email saying "Back ordered". Took 3 weeks before they arrived.

Not super surprising. I'm sure they have their own manufacturing supply lines that were impacted by COVID, plus errbody buying boats, and manufacturers building as fast as they can spit 'em out.

I haven’t ordered JL speakers, but I have looked at amps and noticed a lot are out of stock. I’ve also ordered some car parts and ran into same thing as Julian - they were supposedly in stock but I ended up waiting a month and having some items cancelled.
Like @seanmclean said, supply chains, particularly in Asia were severely disrupted and a lot of companies are still playing catch up.

My local place seems to have them in stock. Try Precision Cellular and Sound, Stevens Point WI. Ask for Ty or Jasen.

Not sure if it's a shortage or a production change? I have a feeling they're changing their model line up as some places are showing them as discontinued, not just out of stock.
