I am looking at buying a 2017 AR210 and wanted to upgrade the interior audio system. Does anyone currently have the SlamPak installed on their boat? It is worth the extra $1500?

There is a ton of help here with stereo installs. Unless you are opposed to doing it yourself, you would be much much better off opting out and fitting something in aftermarket. But of course the convenience and safety factor of having a dealer install it can be huge, an improperly installed stereo system can be a serious fire hazard.

What comes with the Slam Pak they are offering? I've seen them with:
  1. 2 pairs of 6.5" JLs in cabin speakers ($400)
  2. 1 pair of 6.5" JLs on tower ($380)
  3. 1 10" sub woofer ($180)
  4. 1 JL 6.1 channel AMP to drive the lot ($600?)
If that is the case....then I'd say it is worth it given the install would be effectively free (which I find hard to believe....but gives you negotiating room)

I started with a slam pack. It sounded pretty good but ended up adding another pair of JL 6.5's, 2 JL 7.7's another 10" JL sub and a second 6 channel amp. Sounds a little loud now

I went with 3 pairs of 6.5's and a 10 in sub all tied into 800w amp< all JL, and it is very loud. Motivation was being able to hear the radio while running around at 6k rpm and mission accomplished and then some.

I'm not exactly sure what the SlamPak includes but was just suggested to me by a friend and the dealer. I will get specific info and get back to everyone.

If this includes installation/wiring etc., I would still agree with what @Julian said above.

Depends on if you are handy and enjoy doing this sort of work. The parts are $1,180 ish (more when you factor in wiring, fuse etc, so call is $1,240 - so you are spending $260 on labor...which sounds about right. You could save the labor and do it yourself....but depends on 1) if you like doing it, 2) want the instant gratification :)

On a new boat....I'd probably go for it!

right off the JL audio website
2 sets MX650-CCX-SG-WH at 179.99=359.98
1 MX10IB3-SG-WH = 179.99
1 M600/6 = 521.99
You are in for $1,061.96 just in parts.
Power cables to the amp if you put it in the helm plus breakers will be another 150.
300 for the install seems like a cracking deal.
When I looked at it they wanted almost 1,000 for the install so I bought it all and had it installed locally for a lot less and they also added 2 more speakers in the cockpit.
If you want it loud do it!!!!!

@Julian Earmark will be about 5% less than the sale price. Just saying. I'll post pics here of the install tonight when I get to the boat.

GOOD LORD! :winkingthumbsup" Sorry for the thread hijack but, do you have enough juice to run that thing for more than 1hr? You can probably just sit in the cove and ride the shock waves coming off your hull versus actually running the motors...[flag]
