Finally made it out on the big lake. Launched at Burnham Harbor and it was much smoother of an operation than anticipated. 1-3’ chop, no problems whatsoever.

So many questions.
Is there a fee to launch from there? How was parking or was it even available? Can you reserve parking? How far did you go out on the lake?

We got there at 9:00 and beat the launch traffic. Burnham has 43 spots to park your trailer so it's best you arrive early to secure one of those spots and it cost $29. You launch your boat, pull up to the gate and pay for your spot and receive a ticket. I recommend you have everything ready and in your boat prior to arriving same thing goes for retrieving (Bimini wrapped up, coolers, towels and everything ready to pull off the boat) since they don't have an area do pull off after the ramp.

We ventured off shore about a mile or so then headed north for Evanston to check out the North Western Campus (about 30min at 25MPH). After that, we anchored in at the playpen for 4 hours and it was awesome.
