Lake Smithville MO anybody?

We go multiple times a week when it’s warm. Generally wakeboard on the weeknights, cove on the weekends. There are A LOT of stumps to steer clear of, but it doesn’t take long to get a lay of the land. It gets really crowded on nice weekends and fishing tournaments. All and all it’s a good spot, certainly beats the alternatives...

I have looked at the lake recently, it is still low and there are indeed a lot of stumps. We will use our Bayliner 195 on Smithville. We will put our Monterey in Lake of the Ozarks after the Bimini trip. We will be moving to Lawson.

We’ve been a few times. Camped once and had the boat campside. That was pretty cool. Blue Springs Lake is our home as we can be on in less then 15 minutes on a good day. No stumps and the Jackson County pass requirement helps keep traffic down somewhat. Not enough to want to do much other than cove on the weekend. Sports on weekday nights.

I’m waiting on a new AR195 (so I’ve been told), and have had a Glastron GTS187 in for warranty repair for going on a full year. I hope to have a boat soon. We should do a jet boat get together at Smithville Lake.

As hot as it’s been and going to be, makes sense to be on the lake as often as possible. Enjoy!!

Clean, as in no debris ? Yes clean. Clear is another thing LOL

We have loved it. Just did the 10 hour maintenance. Lake has been nice - a little surprised at how choppy it can get when the wind picks up!

We now have our new 212s and will be coming up to Smithville go hang out. Not sure if it will be this year now that the weather’s changed, but if not then next year for sure!

You'll find that Smithville is a little puddle where you can barely run out your boat. Be ready to drive a little further and go to Ozarks, Table Rock, Grand Lake, or Stockton.
We have settled on Stockton and enjoy it very much. Very quiet, clear water, and good people. But there's nothing going on around there so if you like to party, it's not the lake for you.

Smithville is a ok lake. We like it. 40min from driveway to ramp. Camping is good too.. all those other lake are on a completely different level.
