I'll start with I knew the fuel efficiency on the 195 was going to be terrible but thats the deal with speed and I'm fine with it. You know, Smiles per gallon!

My only issue is the tank size being 30gal netting a 80-90 mile cruise range. Sure I know that one should always know where fuel is located on a lake/river, but still I would like more.

has anyone researched a larger fuel tank modification? I searched and didn't see anything recent

thanks!

I haven't needed the extra fuel on my local lakes but I sure would love to have a 50 gallon for those long weekends, bigger lakes or gulf use just for ease of mind not having to monitor it often. I just don't know where you'd put it :D

I think the best option for extra fuel is a bladder in the ski locker with some sort of transport pump to refill the tank. Although, unless you're going offshore, it seems to make better sense to refuel when needed rather than carry around the extra weight.

@OUT ON THE REEF mounted an aux tank under the leaning post of his fsh.

In the past I put 2 5 gal plastic jerry cans in the ski locker. I didnt need the extra fuel but it secured easily and was nice to know it was there.

That's what I normally do as fuel in the lake is $1.50+ a Litre it for you guys south of the boarder maybe $6 a gallon. Two 5gallons and a full tank will last me a week at the cottage. 5 days I went through 91L or over 3/5 of the tank. But I didn't leave the lake like I did the last time I was up.
