I’ve had my 2012 challenger 180 for about 4 months now rarely run into other Seadoo boats out there.

ive come across about 4 or 5 one that looked exactly like mine in my local chain

1 year and 3 months with my Challenger 180! See plenty of sea doos in my area! Mostly older 16’ers but occasionally the odd 210 or 230. I can count on one hand the number of Yamaha’s I’ve seen on my lake. No dealer close by unfortunately :/

I took some friends out on mine and counted 14 or 15 yahamas in my local lake chain they are very popular down here

I know we have a speedster 200, 06 speedster 150, and a 08 challenger 180 I’ve seen on people’s personal docks spread out over my lakes haven’t seen them in the water yet

BRP ended the relationship with Vortex, so maybe a return is in the cards? We considered the switch, but wife hated the PWC handlebar/controls.

I finally got back into boating, i picked up a used 2012 Challenger 210SE w/twin 215’s.

Really happy with it (been out on it 3 of the 4 last weekends)

Not sure about the bow being an issue, I am assuming BRP designed it for visibility advantages?….but my boat does 53mph loaded with people, gas and gear

down the road I want to move into a 210 or 230

I wanted a 230 because of the larger bow, and capacity is 12 (instead of 10). BUT the walk-through transom and Transat loungers on the 210 are awesome! Plus the 210 has true 1-lever operation, whereas the 230 has 2 levers (separate throttle and forward-neutral-reverse).

IF the 230 had the same walk-through transom as the 210 I would have definitely gone 230 (plus there are 230’s with 510hp out there, although very rare).

i think you may be looking at the wrong picture. the second picture (with the admiral reading a book) is the stern lounge seats. bow on my 180 is about the same as a yamaha 190.

If you are referring to the “book reading” pic that is my wife on the stern loungers. The 210’s have a neat fold-out lounger. This feature, the Throttle-by-wire, 1-lever operation even with twins, and closed-loop cooling is what lead me to choose BRP over Yamaha:

Crazy happy with my 230SP, 510hp.

First owner, 8 years now. Never one issue, only had to change the steering cable.

I was told i got the last 230 built, could be since BRP hat to change my previous 230 due to the hull cracking.

And i only run in saltwater, still looks like new. I do my own maintenance.

Will upgrade to the Scarab 285 as soon as i get my hands on one. But yes, would wish Sea Doo to come back in the market.
