I have used the shipping cover the last 5 years, I used it while in storage and while trailing.
I'm in the market for a new one. I would like black, and only used for towing and storage. I have a nice snap on cover for docking.

I found this part #
Is this what I want?
Does it use pooling poles?
Does it come with new ones?
Is it for an SX boat?
Does anyone have this? Is it worth it?

I think the one I have is called Deluxe Premium cover or something like that. Looks much nicer on the boat (in my opinion) than the shipping cover it comes with. Has mooring poles and they are installed in these pictures. Love the cover. Has held up great in the year we've had it. Think they make it for most of the boats in their fleet. Ours is 2015 SX210

I just replaced my old cover with the new black premium cover , it's a substantial improvement in my opinion. It comes with anti-pooling poles, the cleats are now covered with an integrated plastic cover (cleats used to go through a hole), the ratchet pockets are now more robust with better protection for the hull and a molded pouch that the ratchets sit in, the ratchets are improved (easier release handle).

I think the distinction needs to be made between the covers available for Yamaha jet boats.

The shipping cover is white plastic with a felt liner. You cannot buy it directly from Yamaha but may be able to get a left over one from a Yamaha dealer. Online they go for $250 to $350 with the fixed length anti pooling poles.

The standard mooring cover is gray or black and made from canvas/cloth material. They retail for $500 to $600.

The deluxe mooring cover is black and its material seems to be thicker than the standard mooring cover. This is in addition to the covered pockets referenced above. They retail for $700 to $750.

Both the standard and deluxe covers come with an anti polling kit that includes telescoping poles.

I store my boat outside and have found the average life of a shopping or standard cover is about 2 years, 3 if I'm lucky. Thankfully I don't live where it snows so I don't have to worry about snow reducing the useful life. My next cover will be a deluxe version just to see if it will last longer than 2 or 3 years.

Good info Ronnie - I went through my standard mooring cover in 4 years - boat is in a covered slip but still gets a good amount of Texas sun. I picked up the deluxe mooring cover for $670 on Ebay - most of the places I looked were in that neighborhood for price. I keep my shipping cover to put on the boat when I want to bring the mooring cover home to clean it or treat it.
