Well I have my first dock bump damage. Bumper was not in the right spot and I bumped the dock a little hard. What should I do with it until maybe the end of season to get it fixed correctly. Put a little epoxy in it to hold it closed? Open to ideas but my skills are limited "as in I don't have any" when it comes to fiber glass and gel coat.
Thanks in advance.

I picked up a similar ding on my first time out (wind gust blew boat into dock corner - ugh), and a few weeks later had it fixed at the dealer when the boat was in for its 10 hr service. Cost a few hundred and fix was perfect.

It looked just like yours. If there had been a delay, I might have put a piece of tape over it.

Best advise a fiberglass boat builder ever gave me on dings is "just put packing tape over it until you can get it fixed. That'll keep the water out, but we'll still be able to repair it without grinding."
