I don't have a boat yet however am considering the Scarab 195 ID and other boats around that size. Looking to see people's thoughts on a 195 versus a 215 of the scarab or other models of that size. Basically wanting to know the good, bad and ugly of the two foot size difference and if it has mattered for others. Thanks so much for any insight trying to get some understanding of the options. Or if you have a scarab 195 or 215 what would you have done differently or same is it what you hoped it would be.

Does budget matter? Will you be entertaining your family and usually another? Or are you a single guy looking to take a few friends out each time? Does storage matter?

My opinion is to go with the bigger boat.

Budget doesn't matter. Just me and a few friends or my dogs. Single gal actually. :-) storage not really has to be stored in an storage facility either way.

If budget doesn’t matter…go with the 215 if you have the tow vehicle for it. What do you have?

Bmw x3 m40i states tow capacity of 4400 pounds.

Don’t know where you’re located, but Lafayette Power Sports in Louisiana has been sitting on a couple of Scarabs that you might be able to get a deal on.

I will have to take a look I'm in Florida

I'm in Jacksonville, FL area. Bought my 215 ID at ridenow sports. Great experience! Weight of 215 I'd with trailer is about 5k lbs. I use a 2017 chevy tahoe. 6400 lbs towing capacity.
