Yes, checked battery connections. Problem still there. Hauled it back to the dealer and the Yamaha tech swapped out the Tach (with smart display) and the problem went away. He sent the Tach back for warranty replacement.I assume you checked the battery connections? This is a common source of engine errors (loose connections).
