New to this forum. I have a 2019 Yamaha 212 Limited. Not new to boating, but this is my first Jet Boat. I live in Minnesota, but will be spending the next couple months in southern Florida. this will be the first time in salt water. I am wondering if there is any good way to flush the engines, while the boat is in the water. Or is this just possible?? Thanks, for any help you can give me!!

Welcome @Papa Jimmy
Some guys have installed valves in the cooling water lines to stop the water coming from the jet pump. I will let the salt water guys give the details.

Welcome,
I'd suggest flushing it if you're not going to be using it for a few days flush but if you are going out most days its fine. Make sure you have Zinc Anodes on your boat and replace them as soon as they get loose or break down. If you don't have them fitted it will cause galvanic corrosion and destroy all your metal in your boat. Our boat came with a black fitting for a hose which we used to attach to a flush point inside the boat. When we don't use it for a week we just flush it for 5 fish mins.

We have had our boat in the salt water for 10 weeks now and got the hull cleaned 6 weeks ago and anodes changed 3 weeks ago. Runs perfectly and haven't had any major problems.

But don't just take my advice, I'm sure others will have more knowledge and experience.

Thank you! Do the flushing ports override the jet intakes on the bottom of the boat? Is your boat sitting in the water when you flush it?. this is a dual engine boat, so a port for each engine. That is what I was wondering, if the boat is in the water, and you use the flushing ports, does that override the intake, and use fresh water?

Unfortunately no, the flush ports don't override the jet intakes. You would be flushing with a mix of fresh and salt if you did it in the water. What some members have done is add valves on the hoses coming from the jet intakes. Closing those off allows the flush port to be the only source of water for flushing. You can also try pinching them closed with appropriate clamps.

Yeah the flush port does not override jet intake. I have an 2018 AR195 single jet.
