Hey guys and gals,

Sorry for the super newbie question but I couldn't quite find it while searching. Where exactly is the waterline on the AR240s's, specifically the 2015? I may be really overthinking it but I'm planning on installing an external/transom mounted TotalScan transducer using a thru-hull fitting. I got the idea from @Julian but I like the location of the image attached. Using the image attached can you tell me where the waterline is at? The thru-hull fitting says specifically not to use it under the waterline.ar240 rear transducer2.jpg

Nearly the entire vertical part of the transom is below the waterline at rest.

@seanmclean So in the picture above, the thru-hull screw there is considered to be on the horizontal plane?

Depends on how much weight and gear you have. Typically the waterline is just above the pumps at rest. Close the where you see the transom curve to go under the swim deck.

Yes, generally the bottom of the swim platform is out of the water at rest. Loaded down with ballast or having a party on the swim deck will change that. My thru-hull is about at that elevation, but closer to the pumps. Either way, I sealed the thru-hull and the inside of the hole just to be safe.
