Hi, I have a 1996 SeaDoo Challenger. I had an issue that I couldn’t get over 3.5-4K RPM. On my last test it jumped up in RPMs (full range) but lost all power. No noticeable forward or reverse motion. Paddled back to shore found what looked like old, stiff electrical tape wrapped around the impeller. Removed it and still no forward or reverse. My question is: impeller/wear ring or could it be pulling air from engine compartment. Impeller does look chewed up but would I lose all motion?

Thanks in advance
Frank

No @Goggles Piasano you should not loose all thrust. Is your shifter properly operating your bucket from neutral to forward or reverse? Is it possible you still have something in the intake?
