By far the lowest cost & lowest pain option with significant noise reduction performance in our boats is the bulb seal mod, IMHO (my 2008 SX-230 has identical hull & mechanicals with your 2007 AR-230).
See link above. I did it and the improvement was very nice, cost was <$30 and if you can operate scissors and peel & stick, you can DIY this. Additional bonus: zero added weight (well, OK, maybe 10 ounces all-in).
Try searching "bulb seal" or variations thereof. The above link should have the exact McMaster Carr catalog link. If it does not, tap me back and I will dig more.
Worth noting: This mod likely will need some partial re-do every couple seasons, but still is easily the best bang for the buck noise abatement for the '07-'09 230 series boats I've seen, by far.

West Maine sells some killer engine room sound material. It's closed cell / vinyl, open cell, about 1" thick. I put it in my diesel e450 and it made a huge difference.
